History

ADD Semiconductor was established in 2001 by two Professors of the University of Zaragoza, with more than 15 years of experience in Silicon Microelectronic Design. Worldwide leader developing low cost and high efficiency System on Chip (SoC) solutions usable in narrow band communications and digital data processes, ADD Semiconductor is full private share capital and it is participated and financed by ADARA VC. The company has around 40 employees, located in Spain, China, India and the USA.

Our team

The ADD Team has been carefully selected for specific expertise and the ability to work as a team for a goal. Team members are cross-trained in several highly specialized subjects in order to provide the support and service that our customers demand.

Our staff profile is dominated by engineers, over 80% of our team has an engineering degree and 25% of our R&D engineers have a PH degree. We have years of experience providing training and formation to engineers and to R&D departments of different companies.

We have designed digital, analog and hybrid ASIC for different customers using different foundries.

Our mission

ADD turns the existing low voltage electric grid into a reliable and easy-to-use transmission medium.

ADD is specialized in the design of System on Chip solutions for narrow band communications using the low voltage electric grid. Powerline communications are applicable in multiple fields such as Residential Automation, Control Systems, Tertiary Buildings, Telemetering, Lighting, Security and Protection, White Line, Machine to Machine (M2M) applications.
