David has set up a new blog about the ‘Internet of Things’ and said, “After 19 years at CMP/UBM in electronics media I am looking at three paths. First is staying in B2B media where I have the most experience and contacts but is shrinking. Second is to do my own thing. There are some tremendous opportunities coming out of the chaos of media transformation and third is to go the client side like a lot of my editorial friends. It’s only been a few weeks so I haven’t chosen my path yet but I would like to thank many of the people in our industry who have been in touch and offered their support and help,  we do have a community here in electronics media and it has been heartwarming to hear from so many people.” David can be reached at [email protected]

On the upside, we understand from Patrick Mannion, brand director at EDN, that all is going very well there and that the web site is generating “thousands of conversations each month between electronics engineers.” Long may it continue!
