Jon Barrett sees room in the market for a media outlet about development kits and design services

Publisher Jon Barrett said: ” The logic behind the launch is clear. Every component manufacturer knows that somewhere on the ‘long-tail’ of sales prospects is their next big customer. The challenge they face is reaching the designers, supporting their development work and helping them innovate. Development kits, evaluation boards, reference designs, samples sets and software tools offer affordable and effective ways for manufacturers to demonstrate new technologies and build brand loyalty amongst the design engineering community.”

Devkit Magazine’s goal is to help manufacturers and their distribution partners deliver their development tools and support services into the hands of as many design engineers as possible.
