Electronic Specifier, a UK-based publisher of information resources to the global electronics industry, has acquired a 50% stakeholding in Hardware Pioneers, a growing community of thousands of startup founders, executives, engineers and developers operating in the IoT sector.
The HardwarePioneers community started in the UK but has big plans for international expansion
Founded by brothers David and Fabiano Bellisario, Hardware Pioneers mission is to connect, educate and inspire its members to build a smarter tomorrow through connected hardware and IoT technologies. Some of the companies who have supported the community and taken the stage at Hardware Pioneers monthly conference include Silicon Labs, Intel, Texas Instruments, NXP, Microchip, Mouser, Avnet and other leading manufacturers and distributors.
The acquisition will enable Electronic Specifier to expand its reach within the global electronics and technology markets by further enhancing its relationship with the startup community. Electronic Specifier will continue to work with Hardware Pioneers by offering editorial, marketing, and sales support, as well as access to its growing global database of over 200,000 engineers and developers.
