It seems that the French electronics publishing industry has succumbed to the recession. Following last month’s notice that Electronique and Electronique International will merge in January, EPN France has announced it will also stop publishing in 2010.
As of the 1st of January the title, edited by Alain Dieul, will cease to be for both print and online editions.
The European edition of EPN will continue and the publishers are keen to stress that EPN has a strong French readership and advertisers can still reach the 6,147 French subscribers. EPN has published split-run editions for France in the past to cater for specific advertisers who need to reach French engineers with advertisements and/or multiple-page inserts in the French language. This is a service it will continue to offer on demand in 2010 and beyond.
