ES LIVE 2012, a show for buyers of electronic components and related products, took place at the Madejski Stadium, Reading, UK, on 24 May 2012. A total of 472 visitors attended the event, with 217 attending the supply chain and design engineer seminars and workshops. In addition to the visitors, 268 exhibiting staff (representing 60 exhibitors) also attended: a 100 per cent increase on 2011. The success of the event has led organiser Mark Leary (also publisher of Electronics Sourcing magazine) to plan international expansion. He said, “The ES LIVE formula is going to be exported with events planned for Munich and Boston. Full details will be announced shortly.”
The one-day format incorporating a table top exhibition, seminar series and evening industry networking dinner proved popular, with many exhibitors booking their 2013 stand within hours of the event opening, according to the organiser.
The UK’s ES LIVE 2013 takes place Thursday 16 May at the StadiumMK, Doubletree Hilton, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. The exhibition will grow to 106 stands and the seminar programme will also be expanded.
