As a specialist electronics PR and digital marketing agency, we’ve seen a lot of B2B media shrinking or disappearing in recent years but here’s one outlet that’s clearly bucking the trend. Sweden-based Evertiq New Media, an online news network for the global electronics industry, is opening four new local web sites for markets in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.

The Asia initiative is part of an overall goal to grow from 150,000 to 500,000 unique visitors per month. The publisher announced that it achieved its first €1 million advertising revenue in 2012 and Henrik Björsell, CEO, commented:

“Evertiq’s revenue is advertising driven and in recent years we have seen a gradual switch of our customer’s marketing budgets, mainly from Europe and the U.S., to the Asian markets. Asia is therefore an incredibly important market for Evertiq.”

Evertiq uses local editors in Asia and is building up a local sales force for its growing customer base in the region. The company employs 20 people in 6 countries.
