The First European Engineer and Supplier Interface Study gathered information from engineers regarding their need for product information and other services. It also looked at how and when they interface with suppliers and how they see the quality and value of that interface. It is based on Hearst’s 2011 North American study. The first substantive study of its kind, the survey reveals the relative importance of print and digital magazine in the electronics industry, compares traditional and online media, and examines the relevance of social media to the electronic engineering community in Europe.
The First European Engineer and Supplier Interface Study is a partnership project from Electronic Specifier, Hearst Business Media’s Electronics Group and Publitek Marketing Communications.
It is designed to help those promoting products and services into the electronics industry understand the information sources and sales channels used by the electronic design engineering community in Europe.
361 engineers participated in this year’s web-based survey. The result is a highly accurate and reliable portrait of design engineer attitudes, perceptions, and behaviours.
