Alfred Vollmer
Alfred Vollmer is taking over the reins at Huethig, as the new editor-in-chief of the magazines AUTOMOBIL-ELEKTRONIK, elektronik journal and emobility tec as well as of the web portal all-electronics.de. Alfred is taking over from Dr. Achim Leitner, and the change will be effective from April 1, 2016. Achim will be moving on from journalism after being in this role for almost eight years, and will instead be leading a systems engineering (design) team.
Alfred has been working as a journalist for over 30 years and has a degree in electrical engineering. After graduating, he worked for several of the electronics editorial teams at Huethig GmbH. Alfred is well connected across Europe, North America and Asia and is well placed to ensure the magazine continues to offer readers the most up to date news in electronics. He will also be the joint editor-in-chief of elektronik industrie, a joint role shared with Hans Jaschinski, who is currently still on leave due to illness.
Huethig is keen to strengthen and grow the editorial team, so watch this space for more news on editors joining the publications.
