Clive Couldwell will become group editor at Electronics Weekly from January 2018
2018 will ring the changes at the editorial helm of Electronics Weekly.
Josh Brooks, who has been the magazine’s publisher for three years, and took over as editor in April this year, is to leave Metropolis Business Media at the end of the year to pursue an opportunity outside of publishing.
Stepping into the role, from January, will be Clive Couldwell, who is currently editor of Electronics Weekly’s sister title AV Magazine and will join Electronics Weekly in a newly-created position of group editor across the two titles.
Clive has more than three decades of experience as an award-winning print, digital and broadcast journalist and editor. Among his accolades he launched and fronted the first business television service for the IT and telecommunications industries.
The search is also on for a news editor to augment the existing editorial team at Electronics Weekly and strengthen its news output.
Josh will be replaced as publisher by Nick Stimpson, who is currently managing director at Metropolis.
