The new New Electronics Website

The new New Electronics Website

You may have already noticed, but New Electronics has revamped its website.  Personally speaking I didn’t encounter many issues with the old site – it was functional, relatively easy to navigate, and aesthetically pleasing.

However, the new site does have some distinct differences.  It’s even easier to navigate, with tabs to access in-depth features, and a heavier focus on social media, such as the Twitter feed and blog posts.  In fact, the Twitter feed has completely replaced the area that was once reserved for the most popular news stories.  Perhaps this is a reflection of the changing way electronics engineers access news?

Laura Hopperton, web editor, who was responsible for managing the redesign said, “We’ve been working hard over the past six months to improve the look of the New Electronics website. As well as perfecting the aesthetics, our goal was to ensure our users could get to the information they need quickly and easily.  As such, we completely overhauled the navigation and simplified the structure of the website so that everything from news, in-depth articles, blogs whitepapers and videos can be viewed in just one click, whether from a PC, tablet or mobile.”

New Electronics is welcoming feedback from readers and users of the site via Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ pages.
