After protracted negotiations between Nikkei BP in Japan and a potential publishing partner in Korea, the final issue of Nikkei Electronics Korea will be distributed this month. Publitek News has been told that Nikkei BP was keen to continue the publication in some kind of electronic format but that the local Korean publisher believed this was not a commercially viable option. Negotiations ended in failure earlier this week. We believe that Nikkei Electronics Taiwan will be published as a web site and e-newsletter from January 2011 onwards. The print edition, like its Korean counterpart, will cease publication.
