Publitek has acquired McBru, a similar B2B tech agency based in Portland, Oregon. With immediate effect, McBru becomes Publitek North America and its founder, Kerry McClenahan, takes on the role of President. The move marks Publitek’s second significant geographic expansion this year following the establishment of a German office in Munich at the beginning of January.

The Publitek North America team has been providing brand strategy, messaging, content marketing, social media, advertising, public relations, digital marketing, lead nurturing and customer engagement for technology companies in semiconductors, clean technology and IT for over two decades.

Publitek CEO, Simon Flatt, commented, “For many years we have derived nearly half of our revenues from clients in North America, providing them with a global service from our offices in Europe. We’ve recognized for some time that having a significant presence in the US would create more growth opportunities while providing better local support for current clients. We’ve partnered with Kerry and her team over several years and always admired their creativity, expertise and professionalism. We have no doubt that bringing McBru into the Publitek family is going to give a significant boost to our fast-growing technical content marketing, PR and digital media business.”

Kerry McClenahan added, “When Publitek approached us, it was immediately clear that this could be a great fit for both of firms. It gives our North American business truly global reach and, while we offer many services in common, we each bring new services to our combined entity that makes our client offering even more comprehensive. Between us, we now serve over eighty clients in deep technology markets, making Publitek a clear global leader in this niche.”

Publitek now has offices in the UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway and the US. The agency plans to set up a direct presence in Asia later this year while continuing to work with its long-established partners in the region.
