Italian electronics technology magazine, Selezione di Elettronica has announced the 2011 Best Innovation Awards for electronic components and technologies. Farnell is the primary sponsor of the event, which is also being supported by other Italian distributors. Products will initially be selected by the Selezione di Elettonica’s editorial staff on the basis of innovative design, architecture, price and performance. They then will be voted on in a competition by the Italian users of the website www.elettronicanews.it. Entries will be categorised into connectors & electromechanical components, visualization, embeddedsystems, SoC & FPGA, analog & power ICs, digital ICs, opto & LED, passive components, integrated sensors, power systems, software and tools, and T&M.
