On July 1st UBM Tech unveiled its latest web site update, which the company describes as a “community driven platform that combines an industry leading digital brand with an industry leading event brand, DESIGN West.” (For those that haven’t heard already, DESIGN East has been cancelled for 2013.)

The content team for the site is lead by Karen Field, senior VP and editorial director of EE Times and general manager of DESIGN West (long business card!). The content team is:

On the same day, it was announced that Patrick Mannion has been promoted from brand director for EDN to VP and brand director for UBM Tech’s electronics group. Congratulations Patrick – looks like you’ll be busy!
